The building disaster, with a plan to preserve it in a state of “permanent ruin,” was handed over to the Your Heritage Foundation in 2022. With support from institutions such as the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments, and thanks to the community of the Your Heritage Club, which has been build around the monastery, the original design assumptions were implemented in the Western Gate (the monastery’s gatehouse), and the project itself was expanded to include the reconstruction of the roof. We are getting closer to this, but new opportunities have emerged on the horizon!
A call for proposals under the Norway Grants has been announced. This represents a tremendous opportunity for the monastery and Nowogrodziec. Instead of gradually restoring individual structural elements, if funding is secured, the entire Western Gate will be able to be incorporated into the urban fabric of Nowogrodziec in a single phase!
This opportunity, however, requires serious decisions. The Norway Grants are up for grabs, potentially up to €3.5 million, and the call for proposals requires a series of complex documents, which requires the assistance of project engineers. Our construction design for the roof reconstruction must also immediately be transformed into a functional design for the entire gatehouse. This function is intended to open the monastery to the residents of Nowogrodziec and visiting tourists, complement the city’s cultural offerings, and align with the local development plan.
Therefore, from now on, every donation to the monastery will be used to prepare the necessary documentation and undertake this almost impossible task. But the motto of “Your Heritage” is “nothing is impossible”. 
Together, we can do this! Let’s restore over 900 square meters of cultural space to the city!
