Great news for the Monastery!
The Lower Silesian Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments has reserved PLN 80,000 for further work on the gatehouse!
When the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Marshal’s Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship refused to support the initiative in 2026, despite a very high score of 84.5/100 points from the expert committee of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments came to our aid!
Although the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Conservator of Monuments does not have the budget of the Marshall Office of Lower Silesia or the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the relatively high amount of support, given its capabilities, reminds us of the immense value of the monument that is our former Magdalene Convent in Nowogrodziec. It also clearly demonstrates that this “bad conservator” stands in favor of both valuable monuments and grassroots initiatives like ours.
