Last Sunday, a celebration took place to commemorate the patron saint of Nowogrodziec, a saint of the Catholic Church and considered the founder of our fortified monastery, Hedwig of Silesia. The event was organised by the Municipality and City of Nowogrodziec.
As a partner of the City and owner of the former monastery, the “Your Heritage” (“Twoje Dziedzictwo”) Foundation provided one of the attractions: a tour of the “Monastery of Souls”. Dariusz Gołębiewski, a historian from Bolesławiec, shared interesting facts about the monastery.
