Four Poles have qualified for the second stage of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. You’re probably wondering what this has to do with our Monastery of Souls?
One of them is Yehuda Prokopowicz, who less than three weeks ago gave an incredible outdoor concert within the walls of our defensive fortress!
It’s hard to believe that such an outstanding young pianist performed at the first piano concert in the Monastery’s new life. But after all, the name “Monastery of Souls” obliges: it’s meant to serve up a magnificent feast for the soul!
– The concert at the Monastery took place as part of the “Chopin en Vacances 2025” festival, led and organised by the Korsaks family from the “Ziemia Dobrzyńska” foundation, with funding from the National Institute of Music and Dance, at the invitation of the “Twoje Dziedzictwo” (“Your Heritage”) Foundation (with the Foundation’s own funds), and with event logistics support from the City of Nowogrodziec. –
