Saturday full of culture

Thank you for yesterday!

“Stories from near and far” – a piano recital performed by Doriana Tchakarova and Jan-Henrik Witkowski, co-organized by our Eleni from the Ars Augusta association and the preceding painting exhibition by Sylwia Mazurek were met with a very warm reception. 🙂

It was a treat for collectors – during the exhibition, as many as three previously unavailable works by Sylwia Mazurek found new owners, and one was provisionally reserved. We also said goodbye to one of the paintings from the “Pearl Gallery”. The collector found and loved the painting by C. F. Machado “The Walnut cross, devotion’s wound” there. So the “Perl Gallery” currently has only two paintings by this Portuguese artist left!

Doriana Tchakarova enchanted Petrof’s old piano, and Jan-Henrik Witkowski hypnotised the audience with his warm, deep bass. When the last sounds of the second part of the recital faded away, the most magnificent, Pearly Audience rewarded the artists with a standing ovation. Thank you!

There was also one small, moving moment when a former resident of Żeliszów (former Giersdorf) visited us. Mr Töpper, born in 1933, came with his grandson to visit the Pearl – the place where he was baptised almost a hundred years ago.

Thank you for being with us! The next event is on 26.07!
