Last Friday the Pearl was teeming with life and art!
The Pearl Celebration opened with a feast for the eye and soul – an exhibition of Thinloths paintings, and groups of visitors could explore the nooks and crannies of our Temple of Art and Light. 🙂
Just after 18:00, another treat began – a feast for the ear and soul – Giovanni Pergolesi’s opera “La Serva Padrona”, directed by our talented Eleni Ioannidou, operating as part of Ars Augusta e.V.
Her vision intertwined Pergolesi’s opera with Vivaldi’s recorder concerto, giving a beautiful field for artistic expression to the baroque group “Das Lausitzer Barockensemble” (Szczepan Dembiński, Adam Piotr Rorat, Dominika Garncarz, Kacper Szpot, Klaudyna Żołnierek, Mateusz Janus) and the talented flautist Susan Joseph.
The main roles were taken by the excellent soloists Elvire Beekhuizen as Serpina and Mikołaj Bońkowski as Uberto, and in the role of Vespone they were assisted by an extraordinary mime – Bogdan Nowak.
The event took place as part of the Silesian Festival (Schlesische Musikfeste).
The project was funded by the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony and the European Union (program: Culture Moves Europe).
Were you with us on Friday and want more or missed the opportunity? On Saturday, June 10, 2023, from 12:00, we invite you to the “open door” combined with the Thinloths painting exhibition (exhibition closing), and at 18:00 to the performance of the ecumenical choir of the Vang temple from Karpacz. Free entrance.
We invite you! 🙂
